Frequently Asked Questions

How long does the grill cleaning process take?

It really depends on the grill’s size and on how dirty it is, but it usually takes between 2 and 4 hours to completely clean your grill.

Is the cleaning done at my house or do I have to take my grill somewhere?

The cleaning is done where the grill is installed, there is no need to move it or transport it in any way.

Do I need to be home for your grill cleaning service?

We would prefer that you are, that way you can see the end result right away. But, if you are unable to be present, we can absolutely do the cleaning. We do not need access to the actual house.

Do you provide grill repair estimates?

Yes! After your grill is cleaned and we have inspected it, we will inform you of our findings and, if you want us to, we can do the research and give you a repair and parts estimate.

What forms of payment do you accept?

For your convenience, we accept cash, check, and credit cards.

How often should we get our bbq grill professionally cleaned?

That often depends on how much you use it. Most of our clients choose to have us clean their grills quarterly, but, if you rarely use yours, once or twice a year should be enough.

Can Grill Steam help me clean my grill’s vent hood or stainless steel doors and drawers?

Absolutely, we have been able to help our clients with some other cleaning needs. Our steam cleaning process and expertise have allowed us to clean everything from hoods, counters, and drawers to decoration and even vehicle parts. Every additional service will be billed at $80/hr.

Is my grill going to look like new when the cleaning is done?

That really depends on its current condition. If you visit our ‘Before and After Gallery’, you will find that in most cases we make a significant difference but not every time the grills go back to like-new conditions. The most important thing for us is that your grill is literally safe to eat from, so most of our time is going to be spent on really cleaning the parts that will affect the integrity of the food being cooked.

That said, we’ve noticed that grills continue to look increasingly better with continued cleaning.

What should I do to keep my grill in usable conditions?

It’s always a good idea to keep your grill covered when not in use. Additionally, these are some steps you can take every time you use it:
1. After you are done cooking, let the grill burn off the grease by turning the burners to high and leaving the lid open for a few minutes.
2. Let it cool down completely and then use a grill brush to scrape off leftover food residue that’s stuck on the grates.
3. If possible, push all the loose debris into the slide-out grease tray.
4. Empty and wipe-clean the grease tray.

Do you need water and electricity from my house?

Access to water is highly desirable but not required for our services. Electricity, however, is required to power our equipment.
